Edwin J. Pearce
Edwin J. Pearce, 92, of Zelienople passed away Monday morning in Passavant Retirement Community in Zelienople.
Born Jan. 3, 1926, in Glenfield, he was the son of the late Albert and Margaret Wilson Pearce.
Ed was a member of Park Presbyterian Church in Zelienople where he served as an elder.
He served his country during World War II in the U.S. Army.
Ed was a member of American Legion Post 474 in Zelienople.
Ed was a truck driver, having worked for the Jewel Tea Co. and later Sauers Trucking and Crea Excavating.
He was a member of the Butler Squares.
Ed is survived by his wife, Evelyn M. Lydick Hankey-Pearce; two daughters, Lois (Gary) Wiley of Zelienople, and Vickie (Scott) Mason of Maryland; two sons, Richard (Joyce) Pearce of Cranberry Township, and Bryan (Billiejo) Pearce of Maryland; one stepdaughter, Cathy (Allan) Runninger of Franklin; and one stepson, Robert (Sandra) Hankey Jr. of Arizona.
He is also survived by seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several step grandchildren, step great-grandchildren and step great-great- grandchildren.
Ed was preceded in death by his first wife, Marjorie C. Crea Pearce, who passed away April 20, 1998; one brother; one sister; and one step-granddaughter.
PEARCE — Private services and burial will be held for Edwin J. Pearce, who died Monday, Dec. 17, 2018, in Pinewood Memorial Park in Cranberry Township.Arrangements were handled by A.
