Ronald Stewart

Ronald L. Stewart, 71, of Hilliards, passed away Thursday, Sept. 8, 2022, at AHN Grove City Hospital.

Born on Dec. 22, 1950, in Hilliards, Ron was the son of the late William C. Stewart and the late Bernice F. (McDaniel) Stewart.

Ron retired from the Pennsylvania Game Commission after 35 years of service. He was a lifelong farmer, and would always lend a helping hand to other farmers.

He was a member of the Moraine Area Tractor Cruisers and the NRA.

Ron is survived by his wife, Amelia “Amy” (Sperling) Stewart, whom he married on Oct. 11, 1980; three daughters, Kelly (Mike) Campbell of Ohio, Nicole Stewart of Hilliards and Stephanie (Ray) Freedline of Hilliards; and one granddaughter, Lyllian.

Ron is also survived by three sisters, Mary (Gary) Stoops of Grove City, Linda (Michael) Eiler of Petrolia and Sally (Richard) Fink of Hilliards; two brothers, Larry (Verna) Stewart of Slippery Rock and Donald (Chris) Stewart of West Sunbury; his mother-in-law, Phyllis Sperling of Penn Hills; one sister-in-law, Dorcas Stewart of Hilliards; and several nieces and nephews.

Ron was preceded in death by his brother, Terry L. Stewart.

STEWART — Family and friends of Ronald L. Stewart, who died Thursday, Sept. 8, 2022, will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 11, 2022, at WILLIAM F. YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, 132 Main St., West Sunbury.

A funeral service will be held at 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be private.
