Crystal Chilcott, 16, of Butler was named Miss Saxonburg at the pageant held in June during the Saxonburg Fireman's Carnival.Ashley Hughes, 15, of Saxonburg was first runner-up.Crystal also held the titles of Little Miss Saxonburg 2004, Junior Miss Saxonburg 2006, Teen Miss Butler County 2007 and Teen Miss Riverfest 2007.A junior at Butler High School, she is the daughter of Don and Shirley Chilcott of Butler.———-

Toastmaster <B>Walter Smith </B>of Butler was recently chosen by District 13 Gov. Kamal Das to head up the Toastmasters fall conference Nov. 6 to 8 in Monroeville.Smith has been a member of Early Bird Toastmasters since 2002.He recently received the Advanced Communicator Gold Award and has served District 13 Toastmasters as district sergeant of arms, area governor, division governor and district speakers bureau chair.He is a sales consultant for Everdry Waterproofing in Evans City.————Passavant Memorial Homes Foundation hosted its 17th annual golf outing Aug. 10 at Olde Stonewall Golf Club in Ellwood City. Of the 31 teams competing, <B>Aloi Construction </B>of Butler took top honors with a 13 below par score of 57.A net total of $45,000 was raised to support the mission of Accessible Dental Services to provide affordable dental care to people with intellectual and physical disabilities.————

<B>Ralph Jones</B> of Mars was chosen to serve as king of Camp Allegheny for 2009-2010.A lifelong resident of Mars, he operated his family's dairy farm business until his retirement.The annual senior adult day camp ran Aug. 19 to 22. Camp Allegheny, between Zelienople and Ellwood City, also serves as a large children's summer camp and year-round retreat center for the Western Pennsylvania district.Nancy Foulds of Greenville was chosen queen.———
