The Kelly's Chevrolet men's softball team recently polished off its third league championship in the same season, something the longtime power had never accomplished.

"We've won the Butler and Ford City leagues in the same year before - but never three," team member Frank Hawryliak said.

Kelly's won its ninth Franklin Field League championship in 11 years by sweeping Polowitz Dental 15-11, 28-15 and 29-27 in a best-of-five series.

Hawryliak had four homers and a single in the third game of that series. Mark Milich added three homers, a double and a single, while Bob Foley and Bill Jerich hit three homers each.

Mark Voelker contributed four singles to the cause.

Kelly's won the Pittsburgh-Mount Washington League by sweeping Sophie's Lounge in a best-of-five series. The final score of Game 3 was 38-30.

Hawryliak, Milich and Foley each had three homers and three singles in the final game.

Milich and Hawryliak were named Co-MVPs of the Pittsburgh league. Foley and Jerich were named MVPs in Butler.

Kelly's won the Fox Chapel league last weekend. Its approximate combined won-loss record in the three leagues this year was 70-13.
