Teresa C. 'Tess' Nagy

Teresa C. “Tess” Nagy, 94, of Boyers passed away at 1:15 a.m. Saturday at Grove Manor.

Tess was born on Feb. 21, 1920, in Fenelton. She was the daughter of the late Enrico Parenti and Julia Parenti.

Tess was a homemaker and worked at Slippery Rock University Food Services for many years.

Tess was a member of the St. Alphonsus Parish, having attended the Epiphany Catholic Church in Boyers. She was also a member of the Marion Township Fireman's Ladies Auxilary and the Nifty Fifty Club.

Tess loved to play bingo, to travel — especially to the casino — and to spend time with her family.

Tess is survived by her two sons, Albert (Paula) Nagy and Melvin (Karen) Nagy, both of Harrisville; her three grandchildren, Justin (Amy), Brandi (D.J.) and Taylor; her five great-grandchildren, Chance, Shayla, Chaz, Connor and Riley; her sister, Dyane Parenti of Evans City, and several nieces and nephews.

Tess was preceded in death by her husband, James S. Nagy, who died on May 25, 1984; three sisters, and her five brothers.

Nagy — The family of Teresa C. “Tess” Nagy, who passed away Saturday, Jan. 10, 2015, will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the William F. Young Funeral Home, 132 Main St., West Sunbury.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Epiphany Catholic Church with the Father James Bedillion of the St. Alphonsus Parish officiating.
