Sylvia J. “Jake” Campbell
Sylvia J. “Jake” Campbell, 78, of Boyers passed away Monday at Grove City Medical Center.
Jake was born Aug. 17, 1939, in Boyers. She was the daughter of the late Joseph L. Severino and the late Mary J. Parenti Severino.
Jake was a member of St. Alphonsus Parish, having attended Epiphany Catholic Church in Boyers for many years.
She retired from AVI at Slippery Rock University.
Jake loved watching the Pirates, the Steelers, the Game Show Network, playing bingo and gambling of any kind. There was nothing Jake loved more than spending time with her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren.
Jake is survived by two daughters, Carol (Arnie) Trufley of Boyers and Drema (Billy) Gress of Branchton; one son, Michael (Diane) Campbell of Hilliards; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandsons and two more great-grandsons expected in March. Also surviving are one sister, Mrs. Lennie (Ginny) Claypoole of Harrisville; two brothers, Joseph H. “Butch” Severino of New Castle and Frank M. Severino of Boyers; and several nieces and nephews.
Jake was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Campbell, who died April 6, 2015; and three sisters.
CAMPBELL — The family of Sylvia J. “Jake” Campbell, who died Monday, Jan. 8, 2018, will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the William F.
