Lucille M. “Lucy” Dunbar
Lucille M. “Lucy” Dunbar, 77, of Evans City passed away Monday while under the care of VNA Inpatient Hospice in Butler.
Born July 26, 1940, in Indiana County, she was the daughter of the late Richard K. Byers and Eva M. Reisinger Byers.
Lucy enjoyed playing cards and baking. She especially loved to sing. She was an avid sports fan, who loved to cheer on the Steelers, Penguins and Pirates.
Above all, Lucy cherished the time she spent with her family. Being with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren was very special to her. She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her beloved husband, Lawrence E. “Pony” Dunbar of Evans City, whom she married on Dec. 31, 1958; her daughters, Sherry (John) Blanchard of Fombell and Faye Dawn (Larry) Nelson of Ellwood City; her grandchildren, Jarret (Jess) Blanchard and Shaye (Korey) Ritchey; her great-grandchildren, Jayden, Jersey, Jordyn, Nevaeh and Kinleigh; and her sisters, Janet (James) Shaffer and Faye Parenti, both of Evans City.
In addition to her parents, Lucy was preceded in death by her brother, R. Douglas Byers.
DUNBAR — As per her wishes, arrangements for Lucille M. “Lucy” Dunbar, who died Monday, April 30, 2018, will be handled privately by her family.Arrangements have been entrusted to Boylan Funeral Home, 116 E.
