Dennis A. 'Reddog' Hannold

Dennis A. “Reddog” Hannold, 66, of Bruceton Mills, W.Va., passed away Wednesday at his home.

He was born Aug. 19, 1946, in Meadville, and was the son of Evangeline Markell Hannold of Stewart, Fla., and the late Rev. Elwood O. Hannold.

Dennis had lived in Grove City before moving to Bruceton Mills in 1989. He spent his early years in Emeigh, Pa., Luciusboro, Pa., and Boyers. He graduated from Moniteau High School in 1964. Afterward, he worked for Delta airlines in Chicago, Ill., H&F Auto Supply in Harrisville, and drove tractor and trailer for 12 years before becoming a heavy equipment operator for Amerikohl Mining, Inc., from 1980 until 2000, when he retired. Denny was a member of the North Preston Crime Watch. He enjoyed being with his grandchildren and taking care of his lawn.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Margaret (Peg) Reddick Hannold; three children, Christina Adams and her husband, Tim, of Lakewood, Ohio, Karen Woods and her husband, Rick, of Bruceton Mills, and Robert Hannold and his fiancee, Candice Tolman, of Virginia Beach, Va.; four grandchildren, Patrick and Megan Woods and Madison and Bryn Tolman; two brothers and their spouses, H.E. and Jane Hannold of Hove Sound, Fla., and Randy and Kay Hannold of Cooperstown, Pa.

HANNOLD — Family and friends of Dennis A. “Reddog” Hannold, who passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at his home may call at the Carl R. Spear Funeral Home in Brandonville-Bruceton Mills, W.Va., from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home, with the Rev. Barry M. Adkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Shady Grove Cemetery, Bruceton Mills, W.Va.The Hannold Family wishes to thank the Bruceton-Brandonville VFD and Ambulance Crews for their years of care and assistance for Denny.Condolences may be sent to the family at www.spearfuneralhome.net.
