While shopping with her daughter for the perfect prom gown, what mom hasn't recalled her own prom attire, whether she still has the dress or not.

The Eagle would like to publish brief prom stories along with photos of moms with their daughters in their prom gowns (the daughters dressed up, not the moms), together with original photos of the moms on their own prom nights.

The Rotary clubs of Midwestern and Northwestern Pennsylvania will host the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards Conference from June 11 through 16 at Westminster College.Students entering their senior year of high school in September who have demonstrated leadership potential in school, church, or community service will be considered as candidates for the conference.Candidates will be chosen by April 5. MARS — John Soroka, principal percussionist for the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, will speak at 7 p.m. Monday at the Mars Public Library, 107 Grand Ave.The free program will explore the background and musical structure of pieces performed by the orchestra.For information, call 724-625-9048.
