Murphy

Anthony Robert Murphy, 46, of Ellwood City, sadly passed away on Thursday, Sept. 1, 2022.

Born Oct. 24, 1975, in Butler, he was the son of Darla Sue Mohrbacher and the late Robert Oliver Murphy Jr.

Tony enjoyed coin collecting. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a longtime member of the Ellwood/Wampum Rod and Gun Club, where he recently served as an officer and was the former secretary. He was also a member of the Zelienople-Harmony Sportsman’s Club and the NRA.

He is survived by his loving companion, Denise Noble; his mother and stepfather, Darla Sue and Richard Phillip Palicia; his children, Dakota James Murphy and Jayden James Murphy; his stepchildren, Rachel Hall, Stephanie Hall and Jessica Noble; eight grandchildren; his sister, Melinda Sue Benninger (Gary); and his dogs, Izzy and Stella.

In addition to his father, Tony was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jack and Grace Mohrbacher; and his dogs, Auggie and Rusty.

MURPHY — A gathering of friends and family of Anthony Robert Murphy, who died Thursday, Sept. 1, 2022, will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, 2022, at the Ellwood/Wampum Rod and Gun Club, 2406 Wampum Road, Wampum.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Tony’s honor to the Ellwood/Wampum Rod and Gun Club, P.O. Box 442, Ellwood City, PA 16117.
