Meridian bests Cranberry
Meridian’s Nick Malis singled three times, doubled, scored two runs and drove in four in a 14-8 Butler County legion baseball win over Cranberry Township on Wednesday.
Evan Knauer smacked a pair of doubles, scored three times and had one RBI while Adam Shaffner had two singles, a double, three runs scored and three RBI.
Brandon Spinneweber was the winning pitcher and also doubled in the win.
Komoroski and Kolowski both homered for Cranberry Township.
Gavin Miller’s complete-game included 10 strikeouts as Saxonburg defeated West Sunbury 8-1.
Joel Zacherl had three hits, including a double, and two RBI for Saxonburg (10-3). Dylan Plutyk added a base hit and two runs scored while Hyte Eurich drove in a pair.
Brandon Hildebrand hit a home run to help East Butler beat Center Township 13-6 on Tuesday.
Alex Seybert, Dustin Kepple, Jake Stoner, Ryan McCrea, Tyler Brown and DJ Osche singled for East Butler. Stoner, McCrea and Luke Slater doubled.
Dave Dimun (twice), Pat Byrd, Dane Milich, Nick Delano, Devin Fritz and Brendan Beers singled for Center Township. Joe DiMartini also doubled for Center Township.
