Sadly on Monday surrounded by family, Robert J. Buchanan of Pine Township, Mercer County, went home to the Lord. He was 69.

He was born March 21, 1943, to the late Virginia (Slonka) and Kenneth Buchanan.

Bob served in the U.S. Air Force and retired from General Electric in Grove City with over 20 years of service. He was a member of the Bethany Presbyterian Church in Mercer.

He enjoyed being involved in the Classic Car Croozers as well as woodworking, vehicles, hunting, working part-time at Agway and spending time with family and friends, especially his grandchildren.

Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Deverah (Craig) Buchanan, his daughter, Shelly (Michael) Bocheff; and his son, Keith (Suzanne) Buchanan. He was the proud granddad to Cole, Cord, Sierra and Saige. He also is survived by three sisters, Jean Buchanan, Virginia Houston and Linda Cypher; as well as a number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
