St. Fidelis Parish plans sale

St. Fidelis Parish will have a rummage sale from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 26 and 27 at the church’s social hall, 125 Buttercup Road.

Only cash will be accepted at the sale.

Puppet making slated at library

SAXONBURG — To celebrate the arrival of Studio Capezzuti’s life-size puppets, the South Butler Community Library, 240 W. Main St., will have a 21 and older puppet happy hour from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the library.

Participants will be able to make their own puppets.

Registration is required by Wednesday. To register, call 724-352-4810, visit southbutlerlibrary.org or visit the library.

There will be a family-friendly puppet-making workshop from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. June 30. The registration deadline is June 29.

Library plans events for July

SAXONBURG — Upcoming events at the South Butler Community Library, 240 W. Main St., include:

8 p.m. July 8, Trivia Night at the Hotel Saxonburg. Teams will compete for “Superior Intellect” bragging rights.

Register a team of four or individuals can sign up and will be matched with a group. Space is limited.

7 p.m. July 14, Alien, UFO, and Other Paranormal Sightings in Butler County. The Butler Organization for Research of the Unexplained will return to present stories and reports of sightings of the unexplained in the county.

5 p.m. July 23, parade day. For the first time ever, the South Butler Community Library will march in the Firemen’s Parade. Children who made superhero masks and capes during summer reading, as well as adults and children who made puppets at a library workshop are invited to wear their best smiles and march in the parade.
