Tracie A. Jones, 62, of Penn Drive, Butler, died Tuesday at the Good Samaritan Hospice at Concordia.

She was born Aug. 4, 1947, in Youngstown, Ohio, a daughter of Anita Samson Maffei and the late Merle Maffei.

Tracie was a 1965 graduate of St. Vincent High School in Mount Vernon, Ohio. She then earned her bachelor's in health and physical education from Youngstown State University in 1970.

She was a health instructor at Butler County Community College for 22 years. She also taught at Butler Catholic (St. Paul) School.

Tracie also was a homemaker and mother, and she attended Holy Sepulcher Roman Catholic Church in Glade Mills.

She was a member of the Butler Garden Club, the Snack 'N' Pack Ladies Golf League and a past president of the Butler County Family YMCA Aquatic Club. She loved to play golf, walk, and take care of her yard and her garden.

Her husband of 41 years, David Jones, who she married June 21, 1969, survives. Also surviving are her daughter, Stacee Jones of Denville, N.J.; her mother, Anita Maffei of Butler; her sister, Babs Douglass and her husband, John, of Marietta, Ohio; her in-laws, Tom and Edith Jones of Presto, Allegheny County, and Ron Jones of Pittsburgh; two nieces, Adrienne Douglass of Centerville, Va., and Katie Jones of Pittsburgh; and two nephews, Benjamin Douglass of Honolulu, Hawaii and U.S. Army Capt. Anthony Douglas of Fort Campbell, Ky.

<B>JONES</B> — Friends and family of Tracie A. Jones, who died Tuesday, June 29, 2010, will gather from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at Holy Sepulcher Roman Catholic Church in Glade Mills with Father Albert Semlar, pastor, officiating. Cremation services are provided by the Geibel Funeral Home.In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations may be made to either the John "Pump" McLaughlin Memorial Fund at the Butler County Family YMCA, 339 N. Washington St., Butler, PA 16001 or to the Butler County Unit of the American Cancer Society P.O. Box 2305, Butler, PA 16003.Information also is available at www.geibelfuneralhome.com.
