Brendan Malone singled twice, doubled twice and collected five RBI as Mars thumped Cranberry Township 12-2 Friday night in Eagle County League baseball play.

Malone’s effort came in support of starting pitcher Andrew Dinardo, who struck out 10 and did not walk a batter in a complete game.

Bob Spithaler added a home run for Mars (24-4), Nathan Statzer a single and triple and Dan Berti two singles and a double.

In other action:

• Eric Richard singled, doubled and drove in a run to help Saxonburg nip Zelienople 3-2.

• Dustin Lalle added a single and RBI for Saxonburg (22-7).

• Adam Hartwig earned the win after working three innings. Mark Weimer took the loss, striking out three and walking one in six innings.
