Jeannette Mae Leard Snyder

Jeannette Mae Leard Snyder, 92, of Cowansville passed away Thursday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

She was born May 2, 1919, in Ford City, to Samuel R. Leard and Velma M. (Claypoole) Leard.

She was a homemaker, a lifelong resident of Cowansville and a Sunday school teacher. She was a 50-year member of Union First Presbyterian Church, Cowansville, and a 50-year member of the Kittanning Chapter 277 of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a former member of Amaranth, the Old Ladies 500 Club, and Golden Links.

She enjoyed bowling, bingo, music and watching the Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers.

Surviving are her husband of 71 years, Clarence R. ‘Buzz' Snyder Jr. of Cowansville; her daughter, Patricia K. Boltz of Cowansville; her granddaughters, Jennifer Swauger of Weirton, V.Va., and Jocelyn Bittenbender of Palm Springs, Calif.; her grandsons, Brian Boltz (Sherri) of Cowansville and Chad Bittenbender (Lori) of Providence Village, Texas; great-granddaughters, Jessica Baker of Weirton, W.Va., Maria Boltz of Cowansville and Kate Bittenbender and Lauren Bittenbender, both of Providence Village, Texas; great-grandsons, Jonathan Boltz of Cowansville and Ryan Bittenbender of Providence Village, Texas; and her brother, Edward L. Leard of Ford City.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Karla Bittenbender; her sister, Helen M. Green; and her brother, Ray Leard.

<B>SNYDER</B> — Friends of Jeannette Mae (Leard) Snyder, who passed away Thursday, March 1, 2012, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at <B>Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home</B>, 832 East Brady Road, Cowansville, and on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. at Union First Presbyterian Church, Cowansville. The Rev. Mary Marks-King will officiate.The burial will be in Lawn Haven Burial Estates.In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Jeannette M.
