Hazel M. Bowser Anthony, 85, of Kittanning passed away Sunday.

Born in East Franklin Township, July 6, 1927, she was the daughter of Stanley Bowser and Margaret (Zeigler) Bowser.

She formerly worked at Foulis Dry Cleaning, Essex in Kittanning and Toy's Golden Dawn.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Kittanning and volunteered for the East Franklin Township Election Board. She enjoyed boating, camping, yardwork, cleaning, jigsaw puzzles and reading, and she was an animal lover.

Surviving are her sons, Theodore E. Anthony and his wife, Bette Ann, of Butler and Daniel J. Anthony of Havelock, N.C.; grandson, Jason E. Anthony and his wife, Michele, of Butler; sister, Faye Miller and her husband, Charles, of Mesa, Ariz.; several nieces and nephews; and many loving friends and neighbors.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Delbert J. Anthony, who died in 2003.

ANTHONY — Friends of Hazel M. Bowser Anthony, who passed away Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the SNYDER-CRISSMAN FUNERAL HOME in Kittanning.Services will be at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Thursday with the Rev. A. David Meneely officiating. Interment will be in Lawn Haven Burial Estates.
