Joanne M. (Curry) Monpere
Joanne M. (Curry) Monpere, 78, of Zelienople passed away Saturday at the Evergreen Nursing Home.
Born Feb. 15, 1937, in Zelienople, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Dorothy (Trimble) Curry.
Joanne was an adored housewife and mother. She often submerged herself in nature and was an avid animal enthusiast who loved to feed the birds. She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband of 50 years, William E. Monpere of Zelienople, who she married on Oct. 9, 1965; her son, William (Cathy) Monpere of Connoquenessing; two sisters, Helen Willetts and Sandra Shever, both of Harmony; five grandchildren, Angela, Katie, Billy, Matthew and Frank Ronald Jr.; and the family cat, Catty Beth.
In addition to her parents, Joanne was preceded in death by two sons, Daniel J. Monpere and Frank R. Monpere, and one sister, Elizabeth Lutz.
MONPERE — The family of Joanne M. Monpere, who died Saturday, Oct. 24, 2015, will welcome friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.A funeral ceremony will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Paul Merrill officiating.
