Mary Pearl Watson

Mary Pearl Watson, 81, of Slippery Rock, passed away at the Butler VNA Hospice on Thursday.

She was born on Jan. 29, 1935, in Butler, to Earl Mossie Grossman and Hazel Emma Twentier. She married Wendell Clair Watson on Oct. 17, 1953.

She worked for 33 years, managing the Slippery Rock High School cafeteria and eventually the Slippery Rock Middle School cafeteria. She was a member of the Plain Grove Presbyterian Church. She attended Harrisville High School. She was a member of the TNT Bowling League and enjoyed playing cards.

Survivors include her husband, Wendell, at home; her two daughters, Deborah Neyman (James) of Volant, Pa., and Patricia Pink of Slippery Rock; her four sisters, Mae Allison of Slippery Rock, Lucille Heeter of Harrisville, Genevieve Stitt of Mercer, Pa., and Barbara Bicehouse of Slippery Rock; two grandchildren, Stacie Pink Sespico (Matthew) and Shannon Pink Bolibruck (Steve); and six great-grandchildren, Emily, Nathaniel, Noah and Josiah Sepico and Elias and Hope Bolibruck.

She is preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law, Daniel Pink and one sister, Ruth Grossman.

WATSON — Visitation for Mary Pearl Watson, who passed away Thursday, Sept. 15, 2016, will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Smith Funeral Home of Slippery Rock, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Plain Grove Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Stan Keehlwetter presiding.Interment will be at South Plain Grove Cemetery.Memorial contributions are suggested for the Butler VNA Hospice, 154 Hindman Road, Butler PA 16001.
