Howard R. James

Howard R. James, 77, of Callery passed away Friday at UPMC Passavant Hospital in McCandless Township.

Born Aug. 7, 1939, in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late Howard J. James and Helen E. Prebble James.

Howard was a faithful member of the Crestview Church in Callery. He was a lifetime member of the Callery Fire Department.

In his free time, Howard enjoyed fishing and golfing. Above all, he was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend who will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.

Howard leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife of 52 years, Beverly James, whom he married Nov. 14, 1964; three children, Doug (Dianne) Williamson of North Carolina, Greg (Lisa) Williamson of Florida and Tammy (Dave) Cerra of Callery; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; his brother, J. (Norma) James of Georgia; his sister, Patricia (Rene) Rock of Zelienople; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Howard was preceded in death by his brother, David H. James.

JAMES — Friends of Howard R. James, who died Friday, Feb. 17, 2017, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Boylan Funeral Home, 116 E. Main St., Evans City.A funeral ceremony will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Bob Goosen officiating. Howard will be laid to rest at the Evans City Cemetery.If desired, memorial donations may be made in Howard's honor to the Crestview Community Church, 210 Kline Avenue, P.O.
