ZELIENOPLE — Horse Trading Days is celebrating its 50th anniversary with activities today through Saturday.

Fireworks will be part this year's event, which includes all the traditional favorites: crafts, food, sidewalk sales, a used book sale, children's games, a horse parade and musical entertainment.

EAST BRADY — The 28th annual East Brady Riverfest will be held from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Saturday and 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at Graham Field.There will be food and craft vendors. Rides will be provided by the Trowver Ride Co. The weekend will include live music, karaoke, fireworks, an auction, games and contests.

SAXONBURG — Saxonburg Area Artists Cooperative will present “Retrospective: The Collected Works of Richard Maxwell” July 27 through Aug. 24 at the gallery, 215 Rear, Main St.An opening celebration is set for 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. July 27. SLIPPERY ROCK TWP, Lawrence County — Venture Outdoors will conduct a waterfall hike of moderate difficulty 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 27 at McConnells Mill State Park.The hike of 7 to 9 miles will take place beside waterfalls and whitewater rapids, and participants will discuss the history of the area along the way.Cost is $10 for nonmembers and $6 for members of Venture Outdoors. DONEGAL TWP — Chicora Medical Center will host its 11th annual Classic Car & Motorcycle Cruise starting at 4 p.m. Aug. 17.The event features live music, food, children's activities and door prizes.Zambelli fireworks will start at 9 p.m.Last year, more than 300 vehicles registered and about 5,000 people attended. ALLISON PARK — Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre will present ballet in the open air with a free performance at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 18 at the Hartwood Acres Middle Road Concert Area.Free pre-show activities for families and a ticketed barbecue picnic under the PBT Tent will begin at 5 p.m.Patrons should take blankets or lawn chairs for seating.Tickets for the picnic are $75 for adults and $20 for children.
