Joanne Gaul

Joanne Gaul, 87, of Cabot, formerly of Penn Hills, passed away Thursday at Concordia Lutheran Ministries in Cabot.

Born Aug. 2, 1930, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of Thomas Hartnett and Myrtle (Payne) Hartnett.

Joanne worked for Daniel Stern and Assoc., where she greatly enjoyed assisting in the recruitment of physicians to the Pittsburgh area.

She attended Grace Lutheran Church in Penn Hills. She enjoyed reading, word puzzles, bowling and needle point.

Surviving are her husband, Louis M. Gaul, whom she married Sept. 21, 1957; her three sons, Timothy (Maureen) Gaul, of Natrona Heights, Randy (Doretta Ruzzier) Gaul, of Fairfax, Calif., and Jeffrey Gaul, of Penn Hills; and six grandchildren, Elena, Julian, Gabriel, Connor, Avery and Evan.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Thomas Hartnett.

GAUL — Friends of Joanne Gaul, who died Thursday, Sept. 7, 2017, will be received from 9 to 11 a.m., Saturday, at Fox Funeral Home, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg.

Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Bert Greenway, officiating.

Interment will follow at Saxonburg Memorial Church Cemetery.
