“Once Upon a Mattress” is the story of a fictional medieval kingdom ruled by the devious Queen Aggravain and the mute King Sextimus. The populace complains about an unjust law levied by the queen that no one else in the kingdom may marry until Prince Dauntless is wed.
Every petitioning princess is sent away after failing an unfair test devised by the queen. It seems that no one is good enough to marry the prince.
But in the end, everyone lives happily ever after in this comedic musical.
Lori Giesler is the director, and Anna Beech is the choreographer. Kevin Shields is the music director, and Les Fine is the orchestra conductor. The assistant directors are Megan Magliocca and Beth Ford.
