Time cannot heal the emptiness

Or fill the empty chair

The one that is in the living room

We see it sitting there.

Or the chair that’s at the kitchen table

Where together we would dine

Although we all still sit there

Our family will never be the same.

If we could see you for just a minute today

We know what we would do

We’d freeze that moment in a heartbeat

So we could stay with you.
