Ruth G. Hartman, 79, formerly of Hampton Township, went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, while under the care of the Grove at Harmony.

Born Feb. 11, 1938, in Hampton Township, she was the daughter of the late Phillip and Lois (Hurst) Gittings. She was a member of Highland Presbyterian Church in Slippery Rock.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Matthew Reichart of Ellwood City; a daughter, Kristan Hartman of New Wilmington; eight grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; her sister and brother-in-law, Janet and Crea Clark of Carlisle; and sisters-in-law, Sue Gittings and Jane Hartman.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved son, Edwin Hartman, and three siblings.

HARTMAN — The family of Ruth G. Hartman, who died Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017, will welcome friends from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday at North Sewickley Presbyterian Church, 106 Chapel Drive, Ellwood City. A memorial service will immediately follow at 4 p.m., also at the church.
