Ruth G. Hartman

Ruth G. Hartman, 79, formerly of Hampton Township, went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, while under the care of the Grove at Harmony.

Born Feb. 11, 1938, in Hampton Township, she was the daughter of the late Phillip and Lois (Hurst) Gittings. She was a member of Highland Presbyterian Church in Slippery Rock.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Matthew Reichart of Ellwood City; a daughter, Kristan Hartman of New Wilmington; eight grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; her sister and brother-in-law, Janet and Crea Clark of Carlisle; and sisters-in-law, Sue Gittings and Jane Hartman.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved son, Edwin Hartman, and three siblings.

HARTMAN — The family of Ruth G. Hartman, who died Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017, will welcome friends from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday at North Sewickley Presbyterian Church, 106 Chapel Drive, Ellwood City. A memorial service will immediately follow at 4 p.m., also at the church. Ruth will be privately laid to rest at Mount Royal Cemetery in Glenshaw.The family suggests memorial donations be made in Ruth's honor to Seneca Hills Bible Camp & Retreat Center, 276 Damascus Road, Polk, PA 16342.Arrangements have been entrusted to King Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 2841 Woodland Circle, Allison Park.Expressions of sympathy may be shared with Ruth's family at www.kingfuneralhome.com.
