Ruth M. Franke

Ruth M. Franke, 98, of Saxonburg passed away Wednesday at the Saxony Health Center.

Born Oct. 23, 1917, in Cabot, she was the daughter of Clarence Cypher and Lillian Heller Cypher.

Ruth had worked in the cafeteria at Knoch High School, retiring in 1983. She was a member of St. Luke's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Saxonburg, a charter member of the Saxonburg VFW Auxiliary and the Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed bingo, word search and dominoes.

Surviving are her son, Dennis (Jeanie) Franke of Cabot; her daughter, Judy Franke of Saxonburg; her granddaughter, Victoria Clark; and two great grandsons, Colton and Mason.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Victor C. Franke; three brothers, Arthur, Vernon and Lloyd Cypher; and one sister, Mildred Drescher.

Franke, who died Wednesday, April 13, 2016, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Fox Funeral Home, Saxonburg.Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the St. Luke's Church in Saxonburg with the Rev. Roger G. Keller officiating.
