Nathan E. Nye, 77, of Harmony, died after an illness on Monday, Aug. 29, 2022, at UPMC Passavant Hospital in McCandless Township.

Nathan was born in Ellwood City on July 31, 1945, and was the son of Neil Nye Sr. and Helen Everett Nye.

He retired from Pullman Standard in Butler. Nathan also worked in farming and excavating.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy B. Kuhn Nye, whom he married on Jan. 10,1971; his son, Nathan (Suzanne) Nye of Harmony; two daughters, Becky Nye of Portersville, and Natalie Stockman of Dickson, Tenn.; one sister, Jeanetta Arnold of Butler; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Neil Nye Jr. and George Nye; two sisters, Mary Lutz and Loretta Oium; and one grandson, T.J. Stockman.

NYE — Visitation for Nathan E. Nye, who died Monday, Aug. 29, 2022, will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at JAY BRYAN FUNERAL HOME, 443 Main St., Prospect.

Cremation will follow.
