Butler High grads awarded Cavalero scholarships
Two recent Butler High School graduates have been named recipients of the 2019 Rosanne Cavalero and Jane Cavalero Scholarships.
The two scholarships are distributed through the Wellington C. Carl Fund of the Pittsburgh Foundation. The funds provide scholarships in equal shares to the male and female graduates from Butler High School having the highest cumulative grade point average who pursue post-secondary education.
Sophia Lex will receive $6,813. She is the daughter of Jonathan and Trudy Lex of Butler. She will be studying civil and environmental engineering at the University of Pittsburgh.Nathan Ellis will also receive $6,813. He is the son of Brian and Monica Ellis of Butler. He will attend the University of Alabama, majoring in business.
