Paul C. Gyger Sr.

Paul C. Gyger Sr., 97, of Amanda, Ohio, formerly of Butler, Middlesex Township, passed away at his son's home in Amanda, Ohio, on Wednesday.

Paul was born on July 21, 1915, in Chester County and was the son of the late John and Cora (Rourke) Gyger.

He was a member of the Clinton Presbyterian Church and retired from Agway.

He is survived by his sons, John J. Gyger of Saxonburg and Corbett Gyger Jr. and his wife, Casey, of Amanda, Ohio; four grandchildren, Jay Gyger of Saxonburg, Laura Adams and her husband, Tony, of Sugar Grove, Ohio, Shelley Tong and her husband, Khau, of Lewis Center, Ohio, and Paul Gyger III and his wife, Beth, of West Chester, Ohio; five great- grandchildren, Morgan, Jillian and Natalie Gyger and Caroline and Benjamin Tong.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Betty Burford Gyger; and his daughter-in-law, Carol Gyger.

GYGER — Friends of Paul C. Gyger Sr., who passed away Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Robert Hile Jr. of the Family Life Church officiating.
