Mary Ann Clark
Mary Ann Clark, 84, of North Myrtle Beach, S.C., formerly of Petrolia, passed away Oct. 11 at the Lower Cape Fear Hospice in Wilmington, S.C.
She was born on July 26, 1929, in Butler County, the daughter of Raymond John and Evelyn Margaret (Pugh) Geibel.
Mary Ann married Howard M. Clark on July 26, 1957, and they shared 55 wonderful years together before his passing on Nov. 15, 2012.
She was a member of the Mater Dolorosa Roman Catholic Church in Chicora. A devoted wife, mother and homemaker, Mary Ann was employed with Corbett Builders Supply as an office manager and bookkeeper for many years. She and Howard moved to North Myrtle Beach following retirement to be closer to their son.
Her hobbies included bowling, golfing and card club. She also enjoyed bingo and majong and was an avid reader.
Mary Ann was a kind woman with a loving heart. Her family will always remember what a wonderful mother, grandmother and sister she was to them, and their love for her is eternal.
She will be dearly missed by her loving son, Samuel Clark of North Myrtle Beach; her granddaughter, Grace Clark of Columbia, S.C.; her two brothers, Jim Geibel and his wife, Virginia, of Chester, W.Va., and Earle Dean Geibel and his wife, Gloria, of Karns City; her three sisters, Martha Berteotti of Petrolia, Gertrude Berteotti of Chicora and Vivian Pennington and her husband, Dale, of West Sunbury; and her numerous nieces and nephews.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Howard M. Clark; her son, Stephen Clark, who died in 2010; her four brothers, Jerome, Wendelin, Bernard and Marcus Geibel, and her three sisters, Catherine Rose Robinson, Margaret Ace and Velma Craig Glover.
Clark — Relatives and friends of Mary Ann Clark, who died Friday, Oct. 11, 2013, may visit from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Bauer-Hillis Funeral Home, 102 Argyle St., Petrolia, where a memorial blessing service will be at 2 p.m. with the Rev.
