Wilma (Chernek) Fusko
Wilma (Chernek) Fusko, 88, of West Tarentum passed away Sunday at the Fair Winds Manor Nursing Home, Winfield Township.
She was born Jan. 12, 1928, in Natrona, the daughter of the late Matthew and Amelia (Tomka) Chernek. Wilma lived most of her life in West Tarentum, where she was a homemaker.
Wilma was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Brackenridge, the Cabot Senior Citizens and the former Dreshar Club in Tarentum. She enjoyed dancing, singing in church choir, card playing and especially loved her family.
Survivors include her children, Charles M. (Arlene) Fusko of Buffalo Township, Carol (Mathias) Porter of Jefferson Township, Cheryle (Andrew) Palahnuik of Chicago, Ill., Cynthia (Larry) Weyand of St. Paris, Ohio, Craig S. (Anna) Fusko of Lower Burrell, Thomas K. (Kim) Fusko of Mobile, Ala., and Richard A. (Kimberly) Fusko of Winfield Township; his grandchildren, Jessica (Daniel) Krynicki, Kent (Angela) Fusko, Kevin Porter, Kimberly (Douglas) Sober, Mark Palahnuik, Kristy (Donald) Benson, Jeremy Weyand, Amanda Raybets, Ashlee Raybets, Alexis Fusko, Rachael (David) Ochoa, Lindsay (Mark) Corbett, Cameron (Heather) Fusko and Maggie Fusko; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are her siblings, Joseph Chernek of Oregon, John (Edith) Chernek of Ohio, Emil (Marie) Sosovicka of Leechburg, Pa., Robert (Sandy) Sosovicka of Natrona Heights, Anne Beigay of Buffalo Township, Emma Okopal of Natrona Heights and Helen Brander of New Jersey.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Ludwig Chernek; and her sisters, Mary Jane Sosovicka Graham and Amelia Benik.
FUSKO — Visitation for Wilma (Chernek) Fusko, who died Sunday, March 13, 2016, will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Duster Funeral Home, 347 E. 10th Ave., Tarentum, where services will be at 11 a.m. Friday.
