Austin Michael Rottman

Austin Michael Rottman

Austin Michael Rottman, of Butler, passed away suddenly at his home Thursday at the age of 24.

Austin was born on Oct. 18, 1991, in Butler to Michael Rottman and Victoria Koblak Giesbrecht and lived most of his life with his father and his father's significant other, Tracy Deary. He spent much of his time with his great aunt Nancy “Nanny” Scuro, who loved him dearly.

Austin was a proud father who enjoyed spending time with his daughter, Haley Marie Rottman. He was very adventurous, outgoing and never afraid to try new things, even a challenge such as the “Atomic Wing Challenge” at Quaker Steak and Lube. He loved drawing, building things, snowboarding, riding quads, motorcycles, lifted vehicles, turbo-charged cars, fast roller coasters (especially the coasters at Cedar Point), and anything that made those around him nervous.

Austin graduated from Butler High School in 2010. In his younger years, he participated in Little League Baseball and Boy Scouts. He also liked spending time with his dog, “Boost,” working on cars, playing video games, and “chillin'” with his friends. Austin will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

Austin is survived by his daughter, his mother, his father, his father's significant other, and his paternal grandparents, Larry and Linda Rottman, all of Butler. Several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Francis and Margaret Koblak.
