Josephine E. Snyder

Josephine E. Snyder, 71, of Butler, formerly of Franklin, passed away Sunday in Butler Memorial Hospital following an extended illness.

Josephine was born in Grove City on April 11, 1946, to Joseph M. and Thelma (Welton) Neeley. She married Walter L. Snyder on Aug. 22, 1964. He preceded her in death on Jan. 27, 1997.

She was raised Baptist and attended North Main Street Church of God in Butler.

Josephine was a registered nurse and worked in the Franklin Regional Medical Center in the West Unit and then later with Dr. Howard Kirtland's office.

She is survived by four children, Thelma Hilliard and Tammy Burgard, both of Butler, Tonya Jones of Sharon, and Jeremiah (Jennifer) Law of Greenville; 11 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Elizabeth Brooke, Rebecca Hilliard and Gloria Welton.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Synder; a daughter, Tracie Albgiani; and a brother, Kaz Grzejka.

SNYDER — A memorial service for Josephine E. Snyder, who died Sunday, June 18, 2017, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Cunningham Funeral Home, 306 Bessemer Ave., Grove City, with Brandon Lenhart from the North Main Street Church of God officiating.
