Cynthia Edna Raney Dietrich Carrara
Cynthia Edna Raney Dietrich Carrara, 89, of Butler passed away Thursday at the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born Nov. 15, 1926, in Mercer County, the daughter of the late Alden Pierce and Vera (Bishop) Pierce.
She had been a nurse at various nursing homes, and she enjoyed quilting.
Surviving are five daughters, Edna Mae (Raney) Neff and her husband, Don, of Chicora, Vera (Dietrich) Angles and her husband, Donald, of Ohio, Winifred (Dietrich) Hiles and her husband, Dennis, of Franklin, Kathleen (Dietrich) Sherman and her husband, John, of Fenelton and Rose (Dietrich) Mainhart and her husband, Thomas, of Butler; two sons, Carl O. Dietrich of Butler and Howard Dietrich of Chicora; a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three stepdaughters, Evelyn (Dietrich) Oesterling and her husband, Leonard Jr., of Worthington, Carolyn (Dietrich) Sisley and her husband, Mark, of Ohio and Phyllis (Dietrich) Donmoyer and her husband, John Sr., of Gettysburg, Pa.; her stepson, Chester Dietrich and his wife, Nancy, of Butler; her sister, Helen (Pierce) Harrison of Sharon; and her brother, Paul Pierce and his wife, Nancy, of Greenville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, James Raney, Ralph Dietrich and Clarence Carrara; one infant daughter; her stepson, Glenn Dietrich; her grandson, Chester Dietrich; her brother, Ray Pierce; and her sister, Jane Rose Pierce.
CARRARA — Friends of Cynthia Edna Raney Dietrich Carrara, who died Thursday, May 19, 2016, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Young Funeral Home, 127 W.
