Butler County Parks and Recreation and the Butler County Humane Society will have a Dog Paddle Pool Pawty from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday (Sept. 13) at Alameda Waterpark, 184 Alameda Park Road.

For the canine-only swim, lifeguards will be on duty and there will be play stations. The party includes contests for the longest jump and the best dressed dog. Take a copy of the pet's license and a copy of current vaccination records to gain entry to the water park.

Half of the proceeds will benefit Butler County Humane Society.

FREEPORT — The Freeport Library, 428 Market St., will host a fundraising flea market from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 19.The sale will offer flea market items, jewelry, collectibles and used books.For more information, call 724-295-3616.Library offers costume swapThe Butler Public Library, 218 N. PORTERSVILLE — Portersville Christian School, 343 E. Portersville Road, will host a fall vendor sale from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 26. The sale proceeds will provide student financial aid and technology essentials.There will be more than 30 vendors, food, crafts and a basket auction.

VALENCIA — Wildbird Recovery will have a Fall Migration Festival from noon to 5 p.m. Sept. 27 at 120 Forsythe Road.Participants will meet the education birds, tour the property, see presentations on beekeeping and wildlife rehabilitation and sample a buffet meal.
