Darious Clark scored 18 points in the Slippery Rock University men’s basketball team’s 75-62 victory at Clarion Saturday night.

The victory gave The Rock (5-1, 3-0) sole possession of first place in the PSAC-West standings.

The Rock, which led 34-27 at intermission, also received 16 points and 11 rebounds from Devin Taylor and nine points and 15 rebounds from Luiz Santos.

SRU will not see its next action until a Dec. 18 home game against West Chester.

Women’s Basketball

Slippery Rock could not overcome a 16-point halftime deficit, dropping a 75-53 decision at PSAC-West rival Clarion on Saturday.

Jazmyne Frost led The Rock (1-5, 0-3) with 10 points and 11 rebounds.

The Golden Eagles featured four players who scored in double digits, led by Hannah Heeter’s 16 points.
