Erinne Cunningham posted 14 points and Alexas Brown 11 to lift the Slippery Rock University women’s basketball team to a 50-41 home victory over Cheyney.

The Rock (2-6), which led 24-19 at the half, received 11 rebounds from Emilee Vitez.

The win snapped SRU’s six-game losing streak.

Men’s BasketballGerald Brooks led a quartet of Rock players to score in double digits with 21 points in an 85-75 win over Cheyney at Morrow Field House.Darious Clark added 15 points while Tabari Perry and Devin Taylor both scored 13.SRU (6-2) took control by outscoring Cheyney 39-22 in the first half.
