Cheryl V. Grove

Cheryl V. Grove, 55, of Petrolia died Thursday evening in the emergency room of Butler Memorial Hospital.

She was born in Parker Township on June 4, 1959, the daughter of Melvin E. Texter and Viola Grace Long Texter.

She worked as a nurse's aid at the Pry Nursing Home for Handicapped Children in West Sunbury.

She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and doing crafts and enjoyed her pets, especially her cats and the family dog, Katrina. She liked helping people in need until her illness.

She is survived by her husband, Gary Grove, who she married March 16, 1979; her son, Nick Grove and his wife, Kristi, of Boyers; his daughter, Heather Chadwell and her husband, Jack, of Bruin; her grandchildren, Jack Chadwell IV, Shyann Chadwell, Alex Chadwell, Jozilyn Grove and Jerrik Grove; all of the children who called her Nanna; her brothers, Ralph Texter of West Sunbury and Aaron Texter and his wife, Kathy, of Tennessee; her twin brother, Charles Texter of Chicora; her sister, Marsha Ligas and her husband, Ken, of Chicora; and 12 nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Sahara Chadwell.
