Kevin Lindsay

Lindsay

Kevin D. Lindsay, 65, of Butler, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2022, while under the care of Allegheny General Hospital.

Born on Aug. 3, 1957, in Butler, he was the son of Donald J. and Doreen I. Clark Lindsay.

Kevin was a hard worker and took pride in his work. He became a second-generation nurse, having worked at both Wexford House Nursing Center and Sunnyview Nursing Home as a certified nurse’s aide. He previously worked at Murphy Mart and Ames as a shoe department manager, and at the Bank of New York Mellon.

He enjoyed many vacations to Myrtle Beach with his family, coin collecting, firearms and relaxing. He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.

Kevin was the dearest husband of his high school sweetheart, Cynthia Hein Lindsay, for 45 years.

Family was very important to Kevin. He was a loving and supportive father to his daughter, Jennifer (Joseph) Smith, and son, Corey Lindsay.

Kevin was also the proudest “Ping-Ping” (grandfather) ever of Elizabeth and Nicolas Smith.

Additionally, he was the brother of David (Traci) Lindsay and the late Terry (Joan) Lindsay, and uncle of many nieces and nephews.

The family thanks both the Butler Memorial Hospital and Allegheny General Hospital’s doctors, nurses and team for their excellent care and consideration to Kevin's needs and wishes.
