John Anthony Michel

John Anthony Michel, 67, of Herman passed away at 12:17 p.m. on Friday at Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born Nov. 19, 1950, in Butler, he was a son of the late Hubert and Rita Lunn Michel.

He was a member of St. John Roman Catholic Church in Coylesville.

He was employed for 40 years as a press operator at Magnetics.

John enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Pirates, reading, gardening and sitting on the front porch. But most of all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by one daughter, Jennifer Reith and her husband, Todd, of Butler; two sons, Phil Michel and his partner, Kelly Snyder, of Slippery Rock, and Bryan Michel and his wife, Kristin, of Karns City; two brothers, Albert Michel of Butler, and David Michel and his wife, Linda, of Butler; three sisters, Marlene Fisher and her husband, Robert, of Butler, Mary Konyha and her husband, William, of Butler, and Marge Paglia and her husband, Dale, of Butler; nine grandchildren, Frank, Ashley, Michael, Chastity, Joe, Reed, Jacob, Caroline and Raven; and one great-grandson, Canyon.

MICHEL — Friends of John Anthony Michel, who died Friday, June 22, 2018, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Martin Funeral Home, 429 Center Ave., Butler.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday from St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church, Herman, with the Rev.
