June Marie Moser Parker
June Marie Moser Parker, 86, of Owensboro, Ky., died Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2017 at Signature Healthcare.
She was born Aug. 1, 1930, in Cabot, to the late Alfred J. and Margaret Kelly Moser.
June was a member of the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, had graduated in 1948 from Duff’s Iron City College with a business and accounting degree and was co-owner of Owensboro City Transfer with her husband.
June was active in the Owensboro Lioness Club and enjoyed baking, gardening, sports, traveling and visits with family and friends.
She was also preceded in death by the love of her life, Lawrence R. “Larry” Parker, to whom she had been married for 62 years; her brothers, Alfred, James and Vernon Moser; and her son-in-law, Garnet Vance.
Survivors include her daughters, Carol (Larry) Jaggers and Gail Parker, all of Owensboro, Ky., Kathy Vance, of Bowling Green, Ky., and Sandra (Joe) Bell of Parkersburg, W.Va.; her sons, Jeff Parker, of Glasgow, Ky., and Larry (Dione) Parker, of St. Petersburg, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; her brothers, Don (Mae) Moser, of Lynchburg, Va., and Walter Moser, of Cabot; her sisters, Violet Berz, of Ft. Wayne, Ind., and Sylvia Oiler, of Cabot; her niece, Terri Rogers, of Rome, Ohio, who she considered her fifth daughter; and numerous nephews and nieces.
PARKER — June Marie Moser Parker died Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2017. Services were Saturday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Entombment was at the Owensboro Memorial Gardens in Kentucky.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the American Cancer Society and the Lions Club.
Arrangements were by the Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory, 900 Old Hartford Road, Owensboro, Ky.
