Paul Phillip Carrozzo

Paul Phillip Carrozzo, 75, of Butler, passed away unexpectedly Sunday while vacationing in Myrtle Beach.

Born Aug. 6, 1942, in McKeesport, Paul was the only child of Paul Leonard Carrozzo and Gloria LaRue Carrozzo.

After graduating from McKeesport High School, Paul joined U.S. Steel as a journeyman electrician. Later, he joined Westinghouse and started his career in the repair of medical X-ray equipment. He then had an opportunity with CGR Thompson Medical and acquired a position in sales.

After several years, he was offered a district manager position with Toshiba America Medical Systems, where he opened the company's first sales office in Pittsburgh. Following his work at Toshiba, Paul took a position as an account executive with Siemens Medical Solutions.

Paul's ability to interact and build relationships with his customers afforded him the opportunity to have a 50-year successful career. Paul was truly committed to the concept of customer satisfaction. In addition, Paul provided valuable contributions to the medical imaging community with his innovative thinking.

Paul was known for his quick mind and wit, his colorful storytelling and his affinity for cars, specifically Corvettes. Among his other interests were motorcycles, boats and innovative gadgets.

He thrived on being around people and would strike up a conversation with anyone, showing his true skill as a salesman. His outgoing nature will be missed.

Paul is survived by his loving, devoted wife, Rebecca Long Carrozzo, whom he married Oct. 30, 1976; two children, Paul Michael Carrozzo and Cheris (Eric) Carrozzo-Miller; two brothers-in-law; one sister-in-law; and several nieces and nephews.

CARROZZO — Friends of Paul Phillip Carrozzo, who died Sunday, July 15, 2018, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday and from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at Fox Funeral Home, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday with the Rev.
