Gloria Yaple
Gloria A. Yaple, 74, of Butler, formerly of Orangeville, Pa., passed away at 1:11 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2022, at Butler Memorial Hospital.
She was born Oct. 11, 1947, in Bloomsburg, Pa., and was the daughter of the late Raymond Kitchen Sr. and Marqueen (Hess) Kitchen.
Mrs. Yaple graduated in 1965 from Benton High School.
She was a self-employed child care worker and babysitter. She worked as a store clerk at IGA, from where she retired in July 2002.
Mrs. Yaple was Lutheran by faith.
She was an avid reader and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family.
Mrs. Yaple is survived by her husband, George Yaple, of Benton; two sons, Mark Yaple and his wife Yvonne, of Muncy, and Michael Yaple and his wife Treena, of Benton; a daughter, Karen E. Haswell and her husband Rick, of Butler; and four grandchildren, Dominic Haswell, Garrett Haswell, Jordan Yaple and Madison Yaple.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Randy Kitchen; and a sister, Roberta Buck.
YAPLE — Friends of Gloria A. Yaple, who died Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2022, will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St., Butler. This is a celebration of Gloria’s life, and her family kindly requests those attending wear something yellow, Elvis-related or cardinal-related.
A celebration of life service also will be held in the Bloomsburg area at a later date at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association for Research, Western Region, 300 Penn Center Blvd., Suite 602, Pittsburgh, PA 15235.
