Jefferson Twp — Concordia Visiting Nurses will offer a community flu vaccine clinic from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Oct. 2 in the Haven I first floor west lounge.Those with Medicare B, Security Blue or Freedom Blue must take insurance cards, and CVN will bill the insurance carrier directly. MARS — Mars Senior Troop 20667 will collect items for military families from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 2 during Applefest in downtown Mars.Donations of items for children's backpacks, such as crayons, coloring books, disposable cameras, stuffed animals and gently used DVDs will be accepted.

LYNDORA — The Tanglewood Center, 10 Austin Ave., will host a carnival bazaar from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 2. The event includes games, a Chinese auction, 50/50 raffle, rummage sale, food, bingo and more.Super Sunday Bingo will be held Oct. 3. Doors open at 11 a.m., early birds start at 1:30 p.m. and regular games start at 1:45 p.m. Tickets are $35 in advance or $40 at the door. Call 724-287-0021.
