Joanne Reed

Joanne Reed, 78, of Chicora passed away Wednesday at her home.

She was born on Dec. 21, 1934, in Pittsburgh, the daughter of the late William J. Noonan and Mildred (Bloomquiest) Noonan.

Joanne enjoyed fishing with her husband, gardening, taking care of her house and shopping. She loved spending time with her special dog, Emma.

Surviving are her daughter, Donna Boohrer and her fiance, Alfred Oertel, of Chicora; her two sons, Jim (Debra) Reed of Karns City and William (Raegan) Reed of Chicora; her six grandchildren, Jeremy Boohrer, William J. Prack, Nicholas Reed, Dakota Reed, Taryn Best and Travis Reed; her seven great-grandchildren; and her sister, Patty Leslie of North Braddock, Pa.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar J. Reed, and her brother, William Noonan.

REED — The friends of Joanne Reed, who passed away Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013, will be received at the Young Funeral Home, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today.The services will be at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Saturday.Interment will be in the Mt.
