Tobias 'Toby' MacDonald Mingo

Tobias “Toby” MacDonald Mingo, 10, of Pittsburgh passed away peacefully in his sleep Thursday.

The beloved son of Becky Mingo and Dutch MacDonald, Toby is survived by his adoring brothers, Max and Atticus. He is also survived by his grandparents, Carole and Dennis Oresick of Butler, Roger Mingo and Amy Shapiro of Washington, D.C., and Linda Shields and Don Gold of California; his great-grandparents, Vera Mingo and Art and Pearl Shapiro; his aunts and uncles, Eric MacDonald, Jessica Mingo and Scott Williamson, and Bret, Ben and Erik Mingo, as well as many other loving cousins, aunts and uncles.

Toby was a loving, happy, gentle soul who loved to laugh. He loved dogs, horses, the beach, Funland, jumping on his trampoline, and relaxing in the hot tub. His two favorite places were the zoo and the Schenley Park carousel. He brought joy to all who knew him.

Mingo— Services for Tobias “Toby” MacDonald Mingo, who passed away Thursday, May 1, 2014, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Union Project, 801 North Negley Ave., Highland Park, with graveside services to follow.In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in memory of Toby MacDonald Mingo to The Pittsburgh Foundation, 5 PPG Place Place, Suite 250, Pittsburgh PA 15222.
