Kathryn Janice 'Janny' Barbary
Kathryn Janice “Janny” Barbary, 93, of Butler passed away at 7:10 a.m. Saturday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.
She was born on Jan. 25, 1922, in Butler, to the late Homer Shearer and Emma Waite Shearer.
Mrs. Barbary was a member of the North Street Christian Church. She was a member of the Slippery Rock Bridge Club and enjoyed golfing and playing bridge.
Mrs. Barbary is survived by her son, William G. Barbary and his wife, Lucille; her three grandchildren, Lisa (Barbary) Hopper, Tricia (Barbary) Kradel and William H. Barbary III and his wife, Authmn, and her four great-grandchildren, Jake and Aleigh Kradel and Lexi and Olivia Hopper.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Hardt Barbary, who she married on Jan. 22, 1943, and who passed away on May 9, 2012.
Barbary — There will be no public visitation for Kathryn Janice “Janny” Barbary, who passed away Saturday, Feb. 14, 2015.The Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Butler, hosted a private service at the convenience of the family with the Pastor Robert Huber of the North Street Christian Church officiating.
