Robert C. Ritzert

Robert C. Ritzert, 51, of Penn Township, Renfrew, formerly of Chicora, passed away Monday surrounded by his family at his home after a short illness with cancer. He was born in Chicora on Aug. 2, 1965, to the late Charles G. and Lois Bowser Ritzert.

He worked in maintenance for Fruehauf Manufacturing of Portersville, where the company made signs and water-jet machines. He enjoyed working on his trucks, relaxing with a “cold one” and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Alison Blasko Ritzert, whom he married Nov. 16, 1983; two daughters: Crystal Ritzert of Arnold, Pa., and Nikki Ritzert of Gaithersburg, Md.; grandson Chase Miller of Arnold; granddaughter Evelyn Zamule of Arnold; a brother, Ronald Ritzert, and his wife, Lori, of Karns City; two sisters, Leana Ritzert and Rachel Martin, both of Florida; a half-sister, Linda Gadinez of Florida; several nieces and nephews; and his pet dogs Peanuts and Molly.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Jennifer Ritzert, who died in January 1992; a sister, Robin Ritzert; and a half-brother, Donny Retis.
