The Seneca Valley and Knoch softball teams have learned their WPIAL first-round playoff assignments.

SV (14-5) received a first-round bye in Class AAAA and will face the winner of Tuesday's game between Hempfield and Kiski Area at a date, time and site to be determined.

In Class AAA play, Knoch (15-3) will face Ambridge (11-8) at 5 p.m. Wednesday at Seneca Valley's field.

The Butler Area Baseball Association hosted the Aquafina/Major League Baseball Pitch, Hit and Run event recently at Memorial Park.Overall champions were Nic Kibbie in the 7-8 age group, Matt Metzger in the 9-10, Tristen Fields in the 11-12 and R.J. Cupp in the 13-14.Individual event winners included Jacob Jewart, Dallas Hays, Nick Ray, Alex Claypoole, Nick Barnett and Alex Ellenberger.All advance to the section championship June 1 at Springdale High School.

RICHMOND, Va. — A federal judge ordered imprisoned quarterback Michael Vick to repay more than $2.4 million to a Canadian bank for defaulting on a loan.The Royal Bank of Canada sued Vick in September, arguing his guilty plea to a federal dogfighting charge — and the impact on his career — prevented him from repaying the loan.
