Roger Kelly

Roger A. Kelly, 71, of Buffalo Township, passed away Sunday, March 28, 2021, at Passavant Retirement Community.

Born Feb. 3, 1950, in Harrison Township, he was the son of the late William G. and Rita (Cole) Kelly. Roger lived his entire life in Buffalo Township.

He was the CEO for Irene Stacey Mental Health Center in Butler and also was the zoning officer for Buffalo Township for many years. Roger was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Cabot. He graduated in 1968 from Freeport High School, Valley Forge Military Academy, as a two-year cadet, earned his bachelor of arts degree from Clarion University and his master’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Kimberly L. (Madison) Kelly; his daughters, Jennifer N. (Jeffrey) Laurenson of Ohio Township and Heather R. (Scot) Zarnick of Jefferson Township; grandchildren, Calvin, Josephine and Beatrice Laurenson, Samuel and Willow Zarnick and a stepgrandson, Korey Zarnick. Also surviving is a brother, Andrew (Shari) Kelly of Buffalo Township.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, David L. Kelly.

Kelly — Visitation for Roger A. Kelly, who died Sunday, March 28, 2021, will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the Duster Funeral Home, 347 E. 10th Ave., Tarentum.

A Christian Funeral Mass will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph Church, Cabot. Everyone please meet at the church. Please follow CDC guidelines for social distancing, and masks are required.

Burial will be private.
